Following the Milano Cortina beta success, where hundreds of fans tested and helped refine the game, Fantasy Biathlon is now officially expanding to a full World Cup season!
Fantasy Biathlon is a weekend based fantasy game built around the drama and unpredictability of biathlon. Instead of just watching the races, you build your own team and compete against other managers throughout the season. You select six biathletes within a fixed budget, three women and three men, and choose one captain who scores double points. In addition to your starting six, you also have two reserve athletes on the bench who can step in if needed. Your athletes earn points based on their real race performances, and because biathlon can change in seconds with a single missed shot, every weekend creates real swings in the standings. Between gameweeks, you can adjust your team, but planning is essential. You are given a limited number of free transfers, and any additional transfers will cost you total points. Each gameweek contributes to the overall leaderboard, and you can also compete in mini leagues with friends or other fans.
Big news. The Fantasy Biathlon Cup is coming.
During the season, managers will be randomly drawn against each other in a knockout tournament. Each round is decided over a single gameweek, and the team that scores the most points advances.
Lose the matchup and you are out. Win, and you move one step closer to the title. The Cup continues until only one manager remains and is crowned Fantasy Biathlon Cup champion.
